Alex Hattori
A young boy who has won many awards and is sponsored by Yoyojam.Alex is part of the Redondo club and learned much of the basics through the Sunshine Kite Company yo-yo club. Alex also plays 1A and 5A, but predominantly focuses on 3A. His achievements are since 2010-2015.A student at South High School in Torrance, Alex started yo-yoing at the age of 11 and won a local tournament shortly after.
“He’s just a nice kid and very humble,” said family friend Dave Mahoney. “He does a lot of volunteer time and a lot of people don’t know that about him.”
In a hobby largely dominated by adults, Alex shows grace and poise as he performs to electro-dance music with a thumping beat, bowing casually at the end of his set. He is considered a professional.
“The thing about yo-yoing is nobody’s harsh,” he told the Daily Breeze in 2010. “It is competitive, but everybody’s friendly and cheers for each other.”
Reflection: this is an arete person because he doesn't only know how to do yoyo but he likes helping other people and do volunteer things. this help us see that everything is possible you just need to be committed to it, and try your best anything is possible and could be done no matter how hard it looks its just the matter of trying and doing your best.
